As St. Veronica gave her veil to Jesus to clean his face during the stations of the cross, he left an image of his holy face into the cloth as a reward for her generosity. Similarly, each Catholic saint shows a unique way at becoming an image of Christ in their life through the overflowing graces and mercy of Jesus the Divine Son of God. Vultus Domini is Latin for “The face of God.” We are all made in the image of God, created to become saints ourselves. Let us be inspired by these sons and daughters of Christ and strive to be Christlike in hope of our eternal reward.
